Génia Minache (1907-1972) est une peintre née en Russie, partie ensuite pour Constantinople, passée par Prague, pour finalement s’installer à Paris. Fortement influencée par les courants artistiques de son époque tel que l’expressionisme, ses œuvres s’inscrivent dans une démarche artistique moderne du XXème siècle, avec une touche orientaliste du XIXème siècle. Elle a notamment exploré la peinture figurative et abstraite, avec une attention particulière aux couleurs et aux formes.
