Dimitri Omersa était un designer yougoslave-britannique surtout connu pour ses iconiques poufs en cuir en forme d'animaux. Le premier cochon en cuir a été fabriqué en 1927 pour Liberty of London par "Old Bill", utilisant des chutes de cuir provenant de bagages. En 1958, Omersa a repris la production et a élargi la gamme pour inclure des ânes, des éléphants et plus encore. Les créations d'Omersa ont connu un succès international, remportant une médaille d'or à la California State Fair en 1963. Après sa mort en 1975, sa femme a poursuivi l'activité. Aujourd'hui, les animaux en cuir faits à la main d'Omersa, fabriqués avec des matériaux écologiques, sont toujours produits par des artisans au Royaume-Uni.

Dimitri Omersa was a Yugoslav-British designer best known for his iconic leather animal-shaped poufs. The first leather pig was made in 1927 for Liberty of London by "Old Bill," using leftover leather from luggage. In 1958, Omersa took over production and expanded the line to include donkeys, elephants, and more. Omersa's designs became popular internationally, winning a gold medal at the California State Fair in 1963. After his death in 1975, his wife continued the business. Today, Omersa's handcrafted leather animals, made using eco-friendly materials, are still produced by artisans in the UK.

André Groult (1884-1966) était un décorateur et dessinateur de meubles français de renom, connu pour sa capacité à infuser sensualité et fantaisie dans ses créations. Issu d'une famille bourgeoise conventionnelle, il est devenu une figure clé de l'art décoratif du XXe siècle. Low coffee table or guéridon in irregular turtle-shell color Chinese lacquer. Basin shape top with curved sides. Four shaped legs. Mirror top with a gilded 'églomisé' decor of a red and blue flowery branches frieze.

Stamped 'André Arbus' as cabinetmaker. Lacquer work attributed to Jean Dunand. A facsimile of the original invoice with header 'Andre Arbus, 24 avenue Matignon, dated 19 Avril 1937'. Will be given to the buyer.

Rosewood dressing table with arrow-tip legs and wound motif feet. Three side drawers, two drawers decorated with floral adornment marquetry (made of mixed exotic woods, metal and ivoirine). Silver plated circular mirror. Two small lighted bronze torcheres. The round stool is covered with an old grey fabric and has a same color cushion.

Krieger stamp on the lock. House Krieger was a famous cabinetmaker in the 1920s-1930s established 74 Faubourg Saint-Antoine in Paris (12th arrondissement). Wired for European use.
